Wow, what a year 2025 was, I won’t be volunteering to do another like that any time soon. I’m sure you’re with me on that!
But we’re here, we survived it. We are resilient, creative, older and wiser. Celebrations all round.
I like to take a moment at the end of the year to reflect on what I have accomplished in the past twelve months (before I race head long into creating a whole bunch of new stuff! And my do I have some exciting projects in the works. Creative flow is on full tilt right now!).
Join me…how was your year?…
🎧This year I have recorded (and sound-edited!) 2 audiobooks:

📕I created the cover art for three books:
– the second edition of Burning Woman (out in May…cover art revealed in the New Year when pre-orders open),
– the 2nd edition of Yoga for Witches which came out in March,
– and for my next book Structuring the Soul of Writing – out autumn 2026.
📕Published 5 books, over at Womancraft Publishing including our second Compendium – Gather: a celebration of women’s circles, compiled, edited and with an introduction by me and including over 60 contributions from authors, activists, artists, community builders, priestesses, mothers and grandmothers – ranging in age from 14-70, sharing their wisdom on what women’s circles are and why they matter, passing on best practice and inspiration for how to create your own. And excitingly many of them gathered in real life for a massive circle in the U.S, convened by ALisa Starkweather.

📕Created and taught 4 e-courses: Get Published!, Get Podcasting!, Writing Nature + Magic, Peaceful Patterns 3.
Get Published is available as a replay edition HERE and Writing Nature + Magic will be back live in 2026.
📕I mentored several authors, including one who just got a publishing deal with a Penguin imprint!

📕Visited the London Book Fair
📕Did a book reading and signing in West Cork
📕Was a guest teacher on a couple of online courses.
📕My Creative Magic podcast is going from strength to strength, having just hit 30K downloads.

📕I started a Book Club over on my Patreon – our first book was Nightbitch and I really enjoyed a spirited and deep dive discussion with all the wise women readers on creating in the midst of motherhood.

Our current book is Magic Maker by Pam Grossman which we will be discussing at our Zoom meeting on the 13th January 7pm (UK time).
The key themes are:
Transformation
Alchemy
Creativity and magic and how they overlap and how one can be harnessed to aid the other.
The creative process

New online course coming up next year!

Keep an eye out for news of my brand new online course The Multi-Passionate Creative. There will be a free introductory class in January and the live paid course will begin in February. www.lucyhpearce.com
Outside of the online world and my fancy author life (!!!) I have:
Had one of my pebble paintings in the Greywood Arts Microworlds exhibition.
Enjoyed a fabulous mushroom season.
Crocheted 5 blankets and counting.
Read a lot of books! My favourite read of the year – The Circle by Dave Eggers.
Our eldest started University, and for the first time EVER (fingers crossed, touch wood, turn around three times) all three are happy where they are studying, settled, with great social circles and in good health.
All this on top of navigating migraine, perimenopause and 2 doses of Covid. It’s been a lot – no wonder I’m so tired!
I wish you – and myself – rest without illness this Christmas season. My main aim is to cook seasonal foods and be one with the sofa for several days.
