Last year I left my position as contributing editor and columnist at JUNO magazine to start Womancraft Publishing, which publishes life changing, paradigm shifting books by women, for women. Our sister company, Lucent Word.com, offers editing, proof-reading, project management and mentoring services for self-publishers, bloggers and businesses.

This is my blog, Dreaming Aloud, which is now five years old. And in book anthologies including: Tiny Buddha, Blog Her, Wild Sister and La Leche League publications.

I’m also a vibrant artist, creative entrepreneur, community builder and mum of three. I have built a fulfilling life and am living around my dreams. I am passionate about empowering others to live theirs to the full.

Amy Wright Glenn

Amy earned her MA in Religion and Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. She taught for eleven years in The Religion and Philosophy Department at The Lawrenceville School in New Jersey earning the Dunbar Abston Jr. Chair for Teaching Excellence.

She is a Kripalu Yoga teacher, prenatal yoga teacher, Birthing Mama Prenatal Yoga Teacher Trainer, (CD)DONA birth doula, and hospital chaplain.

Amy is a regular contributor to PhillyVoice writing articles relating to yoga, spirituality, parenting, ethics, birthing, and dying.

Amy’s first book: Birth, Breath, and Death: Meditations on Motherhood, Chaplaincy, and Life as a Doula  received high acclaim from noted leaders in the birthing and mindfulness communities, including Ina May Gaskin. Her work has appeared in International Doula Magazine, Holistic Parenting Magazine, Attachment Parenting International, Doula Trainings International, and The Birthing Site.

Amber is the mother of two young children. “After spending hours upon hours of searching for the right stories for my children and  still turning up empty handed I began writing stories for them instead of just searching. Louisa Leontiades

Publishing 3.0 – Why Getting Help Matters

Louisa lives in an open relationship with her partners and two children in Sweden. She writes full-time on her blog Postmodern Woman and is chairwoman of the National Polyamory Association. Robin Grille

Publish or Self-Publish?

CNV00045Robin is a father, psychologist in private practice and a parenting educator. His articles on parenting and child development have been widely published and translated in Australia and around the world. The first edition of Parenting for a Peaceful World (2005) received international acclaim and led to speaking engagements around Australia, the US, UK and New Zealand. Robin’s second book, Heart to Heart Parenting (2008), was first published in Australia by ABC Books, and is now available in an updated US edition. Suzi Banks Baum

Building Your Author Platform

Suzi makes community wherever she goes. Actress, writer, fiber and mixed media collage artist, teacher, and collaborator, Suzi is a maker. She published An Anthology of Babes: 36 Women Give Motherhood a Voice in March 2013. This past summer, Suzi talked to audiences about the intersection of motherhood and creativity on her book tour in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Producer of Out of the Mouths of Babes: An Evening of Mothers Reading to Others in its 4th year for Berkshire Festival of Women Writers, with over 100 women’s voices engaged in this project. Suzi is devoted to the stories of women. She lives with her husband and two teenagers in the Berkshires.

Being a Prolific Author

Veronika edited The Mother magazine for 12 years, and is now dedicated to writing full-time. She is passionate about parenting, women’s issues, natural living, psychological astrology, and her spiritual journey. Her magazine articles have appeared in publications worldwide.

She self-published her first book at the age of 22: a collection of poetry. She has self-published thirteen of her own books and a number of other authors under her imprint, Starflower Press, a boutique publishing house based in Cumbria. She has also had three books published traditionally and contributed to two anthologies.

Every moment of her life is fodder for writing. Self publishing gives her huge creative freedom, and this is vital to her ability to write from the heart.
