Want to be a published author? Make your author dreams come true with the insight and experience of Lucy H. Pearce, founding editor of Womancraft Publishing and author of 12 books, including multi category Amazon #1 bestsellers and 3 Nautilus Award winners: Burning Woman, Medicine Woman and Creatrix: she who makes.
I have experience in every area of publishing:
As an author submitting book proposals to publishers.
As a mentor to other authors as they submit proposals or self-publish.
As a self-published author.
As publisher running a publishing company for over ten years,
As a teacher of all aspects of writing and self-publishing for a decade.
A Cambridge-trained teacher, I have worked with well over 60 authors as editor, mentor and publisher and has worked on close to 100 books in her career to date.
YOUR TIME IS PRECIOUS.
Unlike other classes on how to get published this is a PAID offering… not a phoney free class which is really a big advert for their paid course. It is packed full of information and resources… not upsells. Start learning what you really want to know… and get to ask your questions.
Discover the reality… not the fantasy of book publishing today. Set yourself up for success with tried-and-tested tools for researching and writing your book, finding a publisher and making the best impression, selling yourself and your book, building an author platform, self-publishing what it is and how it works, and most importantly, how to earn a living from your writing at every step along the way.
Becoming a Published Author: Fantasy and Reality – lots of aspiring authors have built their expectations of what being a successful published author looks like based on movies, fiction and bestseller lists. What is the reality of publishing today, and how can you get your foot in the door, and develop a meaningful model of what success means to you?
Finding your Perfect Publisher – there are so many options today: big mainstream publisher, independent publisher, academic, vanity or self-publishing. What does each offer, what do you want…and how to pick your perfect publisher.
Successful Submissions – learn how to write a great book proposal, craft a strong title and book description and prepare a submission that publishers will love, to maximise your chances of success.
Self-Publishing 101 – whether it’s your first choice, or your last resort, self-publishing is an incredible tool of today and valid route to publication. But there’s so much to learn – get the inside scoop and demystify self-publishing.
The tools and insight you provided on writing & editing have already been extremely helpful, and I’m only into week 3! It’s giving me the courage to keep putting one foot in front of the other in writing a first time book that hasn’t let my heart go since it planted itself inside me over 2 years ago.

FAQ
Is it suitable for fiction or non-fiction writers?
The course content is suitable for both fiction and non-fiction writers.
Do I need to have a concrete book idea before starting the course?
No, you do not need an idea in advance, it’s a good way to get a lay of the publishing land. But we would recommend purchasing an option with access to the recordings so you can revisit the material when you are ready to publish.
What day are the live classes on?
All the classes are weekly on a Tuesday. If you can’t make it to any live class please choose the Limited or Lifetime Access package to receive recordings, you can then submit questions in advance/afterwards via email or the Facebook group for Lucy to answer.
I can’t attend at this time…will you be running it again later in the year?
We intend to offer it as a replay course, meaning there are no live components, but all the course recordings, so it is available instantly for whoever needs it.
I’m based in the US – are the topics addressed in the course universal to publishing everywhere?
Yes, the topics are universal, and publishing companies tend to work pretty similarly wherever they are in the world.
Help! I can’t afford the course.
We can offer a limited number of reduced fee places for the Limited Access option. Please email us to request. info@womancraftpublishing.com
