It started with cake and scented roses fresh from the garden in bed from my dearest hubby . A beautiful handmade necklace from the very talented friend Leigh. A parcel of perfectly chosen and beautifully wrapped goodies from my mum – look at the handmade bunting made from the material she made my skirt in. Zentangle colouring that will be coming on my US trip and a beautiful letter that made me cry. Thoughtful lovingly made/chosen gifts from my kiddies.

Then a massage and more pressies from the beautiful and talented Trish of Rainbow Wisdom. Oh how very lucky I am to have her living just around the corner.

Lunch on the beach, more pressies from friends and family… home to find my very own hammock – thank you dearest hubby.

And the sun is shining.

So before I head back out to enjoy it (and wrangle my hammock from the kids) I just wanted to share that the next two days are also the birthday of Maya, the protagonist of our first book, The Heart of the Labyrinth, midsummer’s day; summer solstice and full moon.
